Children's Basic Nutrients is a daily multi-vitamin / mineral supplement for children

Children's Basic Nutrients is an excellent way to be sure picky eaters get the essential nutrients.* It features small, easy-to-swallow capsules that can also be opened and mixed with food.

    DESCRIPTION:

    Benefits - Foundational

Because of the state of the current food supply and the difficulty of getting kids to consume five servings of vegetables and fruits daily, few children get all the essential nutrients they need from their diet. A multi-vitamin/mineral supplement can be considered "dietary insurance," an excellent way to be sure a child is getting the essential nutrients even when they don't eat right.* Children's Basic Nutrients offers comprehensive vitamin and mineral supplementation for children ages four and up. It contains no sugars, binders, or allergenic excipients. Only the finest and optimally absorbed nutrients are used, and the easy-to-swallow, kid-size capsule makes taking it easy, even in young children. The capsule can also be taken apart and mixed into food (like apple sauce or yogurt).

    SUGGESTED USE:

For Children Four and Older: Take 2-6 capsules daily or as recommended by your health professional.

    INTERACTIONS

As vitamin K interferes with the effect of anticoagulant drugs (like Coumadin), the concurrent use of these agents should be avoided.

Folinic acid and 5-methyltetrahydrofolate supplementation is not recommended concurrent with methotrexate cancer therapy, as they can interfere with methotrexate's anti-neoplastic activity; however, these folate sources have not been shown to interfere with the anti-inflammatory activity of methotrexate. An individual taking methotrexate for psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis can safely take a supplement containing folate.

Vitamin C can cause diarrhea in some individuals in large doses, which can vary from person to person and resolves when the amount is reduced.
